TERMOSTAMPI ROM was established as a result of the continuous effort to meet the demands of an international market by its parent company, NTS SPA, headquartered in Lallio (Bergamo, Italy). NTS NTS was founded in the late 1950s by Manzoni Alessandro as a small artisanal enterprise specializing in the construction of molds for plastic material processing.
In the mid-1970s, with the rise of economic growth, the company began compression molding of thermosetting materials, prioritizing polyester compounds and pre-impregnated materials (BMC and SMC), which were just entering the market at the time. These new materials proved ideal for electrical applications requiring excellent mechanical and thermal performance, eventually becoming the company's main market segment. By the mid-1980s, production expanded to include thermoplastic materials, particularly technical polymers. At the same time, the injection molding of polyester resins (BMC) began. Today, NTS is a reference point across Europe in the world of thermosetting materials.
As a response to the competitiveness challenges posed by Far Eastern markets, in 2005 NTS SpA opened a production facility in Curtici, Romania, in a strategically located logistics hub: TERMOSTAMPI ROM. The focus was placed on compression processing of thermosetting materials and assembly operations for finished products across various sectors. Starting with electromechanical components, the offering expanded to include services for the textile, automotive, and railway industries. The machinery park includes 21 hydraulic presses ranging from 80 to 500 tons, meeting a wide range of customer requirements.
Today, TERMOSTAMPI ROM is a large multicultural family of about 100 people, including employees from the neighboring communities around Curtici as well as from geographically distant regions such as India and Sri Lanka.
